“A specter is haunting the modern world, the specter of crypto anarchy.

Computer technology is on the verge of providing the ability for individuals and groups to communicate and interact with each other in a totally anonymous manner. Two persons may exchange messages, conduct business, and negotiate electronic contracts without ever knowing the True Name, or legal identity, of the other. Interactions over networks will be untraceable, via extensive re- routing of encrypted packets and tamper-proof boxes which implement cryptographic protocols with nearly perfect assurance against any tampering. Reputations will be of central importance, far more important in dealings than even the credit ratings of today. These developments will alter completely the nature of government regulation, the ability to tax and control economic interactions, the ability to keep information secret, and will even alter the nature of trust and reputation.

The technology for this revolution–and it surely will be both a social and economic revolution–has existed in theory for the past decade. The methods are based upon public-key encryption, zero-knowledge interactive proof systems, and various software protocols for interaction, authentication, and verification. The focus has until now been on academic conferences in Europe and the U.S., conferences monitored closely by the National Security Agency. But only recently have computer networks and personal computers attained sufficient speed to make the ideas practically realizable. And the next ten years will bring enough additional speed to make the ideas economically feasible and essentially unstoppable. High-speed networks, ISDN, tamper-proof boxes, smart cards, satellites, Ku-band transmitters, multi-MIPS personal computers, and encryption chips now under development will be some of the enabling technologies.

The State will of course try to slow or halt the spread of this technology, citing national security concerns, use of the technology by drug dealers and tax evaders, and fears of societal disintegration. Vitalek — Why? The code looks impenetrable for storing information inside the code.

Egon, the problem is in the name.

Vitalek- What do you mean, the name of Satoshi or the name of Bitcoin?

Egon- Inconceivable! I thought you were a smart Russian, you my friend are falling victim to that same propaganda kid. Satoshi didn’t invent Bitcoin, and Bitcoin is only half of what its meant to do? It is a bit.

Vitalek in 2013- Why do you say that Bitcoin is only half? You think Bitcoin evolved naturally, or was given by God or ghosts, ?

Egon. Both.The spirit of Japan herself, here me out. After working in Intel in the 1980’s , I developed first hand experience of what it means to have a good name and what it means to have a good reputation.. I remember Toru at Namco — the name company and I remember October 1980 and I remember a stong desire to contact Toru to call the game Puck Man for a hockey- puck, that it resembled. Pacman was it, ot Puckman. It makes you think of a promise to play and not of something cheap kicking things around. Names matter. I remember the Japanese crisis of the 1980s and how the Japanese companies moved production to the US to save money (because of the difference in price of money itself), and to impoverish Japan at the expense of the company profits. I remember many Japanese people wanting to have a company that could generate profits for both the people and the company (by having a level playing field by reating a money stronger than the dollar). I remember there being a spirit of inclusion for the people and by the people for stronger and stronger money. Japan invented bitcoin. It was a spirit, You might as well say it was a ghost, but this ghost was a shell. .

Egon: The money itself s protected by the energy it is required to compute the solution, providing digital scarcity . The bitcoin protocol is the shell, strong and viable. But if a shell is too heavy to use, it is worthless. The difference between priceless and worthless is a delicate and worthless fine line of subjective human opinion. This forced strong money as a proof-of-work of energy has helped to give birth to making bitcoin strog, however the nature of proof-of-work means that the crypto-currency is dependent on energy

consumption, thus introducing significant cost overhead in the operation of such

networks, which is borne by the users via a combination of inflation and transaction fees.

As the mint rate slows in Bitcoin network, eventually it could put pressure on raising

transaction fees to sustain a preferred level of security. One naturally asks whether we

must maintain energy consumption in order to have a decentralized crypto-currency shell ?

Vitalek: The strength of the network would exponentially grow and thus..

Egon: Precisely! White death! The system would self consume. This is unsustainable, therefore the success of the strength is also its detriment. So you see the name should NOT be bitcoin and the protocol is only the most basic half of a strong money. It is the shell.

VItalek: What should it be called?

Egon: The whole thing should be called shell coin because it Is just the shell in which to carry information. That Bitcoin is a joke, There is no energy or room left to actually do anything with it. Eventually the utility of the store of value will be equal to the amount of power it takes to win the proof of work of energy, which I calculate to be reduced exponentially as Moore’s law dictates, from 20 thousand to 8 thousand to 4 thousand and then to the cost of AI and synthetic polymer materials, eventually to 0.

Vitalek: Really? What is the solution?

Egon: Information stored within the code .. If you were to use a proof of work to keep people from cheating AND if you could use another code o the original code to store a tiny amount of data that could be pointed to a real world reference sheet, and if you could have a separate blockchain to guard that referred sheet’s integrity, then you might solve the problem of the system eating itself.

Vitalek: Wouldn’t you have the same problem of energy usage? You have two different bitcoin platforms — one for validating the integrity of the money itself and that no one added or subtracted, and you have the second bitcoin to validate the information that is written on the chain.. That sounds complicated and would need twice the energy! Money would cost money!

Egon: Not if u allow randam sampling, think about it? If you use proof of work of energy as a gateway to select certain actors to validate the integrity of the information stored on top of the contract, you would cut energy usage needed for that second validation. The second validation could be proof of “reputation” because if someone were to act in a foul manner you could simply take away the money they thought they would earn from winning the computer code to validate the integrity of the information.

Vitalek: Eureka! IT would need two chains one for proof of work and one for “Like a proof of “stake”. The bit is only the beginning!

Egon: Yes! So the name!

Vitalek: Ok, and since, Since a bit is a binary unit- the smallest unit of computer information, and since a bit is the information and since a byte is 8 times larger than a bit, call it a bit-byte!
